Teera Won’t Make It Past Her 2nd Birthday Without Your Help!
When I first read about Teera on my favorite skin care blogger’s Instagram story, I knew I had to spread the word about this child. I had her image smiling in a red Santa's hat registered from the day I saw her.It was love at first sight. Those little yet bright eyes were full of hope. Four month old, little Teera is already fighting one the biggest enemies, SMA.
Teera, at a very early age of 2 months, is diagnosed with SMA Type 1, one of the most severe, early-onset forms of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The disorder attacks the baby’s nerves and muscles, and as it progresses, makes it extremely difficult for them to carry out basic activities like sit up, lift their head, swallow milk, and even breathe. For Teera, to have a normal life we need to import Zolgensma, a one-time gene replacement therapy. Zolgensma comes at a cost of INR 16 crores (USD $2.1 million).

Teera’s story has been covered on a few online magazines and a few celebrities and influencers’ came forward to help. But this is not enough.
